End of summer no problem: the remedies to continue to be beautiful, rested and tanned

When the summer ends, let’s take care of our skin with exfoliating scrub and scrub to keep the tan

Summer is coming to an end and we find ourselves nicely rested and tanned.

But the end of summer also brings dry and rough skin, tired from being exposed to the sun for a long time.

This is why today we offer you three nice body scrubs, easy to prepare to hydrate and get you skin ready for winter.

Body scrubs have an exfoliating effect on the skin, thus cleansing it from all the dead cells that lay on it. This removal promotes the birth of a new outside layer of the skin and helps the skin oxygenate thus giving you a smoother and healthier skin.

Also, body scrubs eliminate the “rough areas” on elbows, feet and knees and also prevent ingrown hairs.

Try it in the shower, at the end of your day to rub off all the smog and the dust of city streets: it’s wonderful! The skin is renewed and you will also look a couple of years younger, you will feel freshened and relaxed.

The massage also promotes circulation and helps the absorption of nutrients, therefore it is important to apply a nurturing mask afterwards, of which we will speak next time, and apply a hydrating cream.

Here we go with the recipes:

Lymphatic Drainage Exfoliating Scrub

– 4 tablespoons of fine salt

– 2 tablespoons of almond or jojoba or olive oil

– 8/10 drops of rosemary or/and bitter orange essential oil

Mix everything up in a bowl and apply on damp skin before the shower.

The salt will exfoliate your skin, while the oil will hydrate your skin and will leave it nice and silky, and the essential oils will detox your body.

Perfect Tan Scrub

In order not to loose that nice amber colour your skin gained at the seaside, this is the scrub for you

  • an aloe leaf
  • 3 tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa butter or shea butter

First thing, clean and skin the aloe leaf then blend the flesh. Amalgamate the other ingredients and then very gently massage it on the skin.

DO NOT USE THE SCRUB ON RASHES, BURNS OR ERYTHEMA.

If you would like to get rid of some of the cellulitis then this is the scrub for you:

Anti-cellulitis Scrub

  • half cup of coffee grounds
  • half jar of yoghurt
  • olive oil as required
  • 2 drops of geranium or bitter orange essential oil

Mix all the ingredients together and massage the affected areas. Leave the paste to set for 20 minutes then rinse abundantly.

Now you just have to pick the recipe that’s best for you and go feel amazing!
